Intro: The taste of teaThe Chunye family lives in a quiet and peaceful small mountain village. Their lives are serene and happy, but each family member has their own worries. The grandfather (played by Yasushi Shibuya) has a quirky personality and eccentric behavior, obsessively devoted to making personal animations; the father (played by Tomohiro Miura) is a resident hypnotist, focused on his work and oblivious to everything else; the wife, Yoshiko (played by Satomi Tezuka), has finally escaped from the busy life of raising children and decides to pick up her drawing work of table cards again. The couple rarely communicates, and a gap begins to form between them; the eldest son, Aichi (played by Takahiro Sato), who is in middle school, has fallen in love with a new transfer student, hesitating and too afraid to express his feelings; the youngest daughter, Yukiko (played by Mami Sakano), who just started elementary school, always thinks her head is getting bigger, and this strange fantasy deeply troubles her. The carefree uncle (played by Tadanobu Asano) returns from Tokyo, bringing a breath of fresh air to this ordinary yet somewhat strange family...
