"Dumplings" tells the story of the aging and fading Li Tai (played by Miriam Yeung) who, in an attempt to win back her husband (played by Tony Leung), buys human meat dumplings from Aunt Mei (played by Bai Ling) in hopes of returning to her youth. "Box" follows Kinko (played by Kyoko Hasegawa) who is haunted by demons due to an incident in her childhood where she locked her sister Shoko in a box out of dissatisfaction over their father's affection for Shoko, resulting in her sister's accidental death.
