In Idaho, high school student Napoleon (played by Jon Heder) is a loser with thick glasses, not cool or handsome, and always acting weird. He lives with his grandmother and unemployed brother Kip. He develops a crush on her but lacks the courage to pursue her, instead coming up with awkward ideas, which leads to unsuccessful outcomes. Kip, captivated by a home shopping show, drags Napoleon to join a self-defense class, but they end up disappointed...
