Synopsis

The story is inspired by one of the notorious haunted buildings in Taiwan, located in the center of Taipei City. This building has experienced over 20 murder cases in more than 30 years, making property prices much cheaper than other developments in the area. The most famous incident was a fire in the 1980s that trapped more than 300 people and ultimately claimed 19 lives. Additionally, the urban legend of the 'burning rice dumpling incident' occurred here, where a woman committed suicide by jumping from the building due to relationship issues, accidentally crushing a vendor selling rice dumplings downstairs. This tragedy contributed to the building's infamous reputation, making it one of the most haunted places in Taiwan.
