Synopsis

Alan (played by Danny Lee) and Ah Tian (played by Chow Yun-fat) grew up as street urchins in Macau, relying on each other like brothers, determined to make a name for themselves. Just as they finally begin to rise to prominence, Alan finds himself being hunted in Thailand for killing a henchman of the mob boss Gao Lao Si (played by Adam Cheng). Meanwhile, Ah Tian encounters his childhood companion Kashi (played by Tsim Shun-ki) at the old site of the convent where they used to play, and they develop mutual affection, pledging lifelong commitment. Kashi hopes that after their marriage, Ah Tian will find legitimate work so they can leave Macau and live in Hong Kong. Just as Ah Tian is preparing to bid farewell to Alan, Gao Lao Si's pursuit of Alan escalates. Faced with impending danger, what will happen to the brothers?
