In recent years, Bone Town faced additional troubles; a mysterious beast dubbed 'Black Bear' had emerged in a nearby hazelnut forest five years ago, frequently disturbing the townspeople and adding to Bone Town's woes. In Bone Town, the young girl San Geng had followed her master, Sun Laohai, to learn hunting skills since childhood, developing exceptional archery skills that rarely missed. However, five years ago, when the Black Bear appeared, Sun Laohai was killed while trying to hunt it. As a result, San Geng vowed to dedicate her life to hunting the Black Bear and often lingered in the nearby hazelnut forest looking for its tracks. One night, a wandering doctor named Bai Xiaobai passed through the hazelnut forest outside Bone Town and was suddenly attacked by the Black Bear; fortunately, San Geng arrived just in time to save him. San Geng was surprised to find that for some unknown reason, the Black Bear feared the medicines in Bai Xiaobai's medical kit. After questioning Bai Xiaobai, he was also unclear about the reason.
