Intro: Red Guards of HonghuIn the summer of 1930, Han Ying (played by Wang Yuzhen), the secretary of the Party branch in Pengjiadun Township, and Liu Chuang (played by Xia Kuibin), the team leader, proactively withdrew the Red Guards based on strategic needs—using Han Ying's words, it was to pull back the fist to strike the enemy even more fiercely. The leader of the local militia, Peng Batian (played by Chen Jinpeng), colluded with the security brigade's Captain Feng (played by Cao Zengen) to take advantage of the situation and return. Han Ying organized forces to heavily strike back against the invading enemies based on the intelligence provided by Zhang, the Communist Party undercover worker embedded in the enemy's security brigade (played by Xie Tian). The enemy pretended to retreat with the intention of staging a surprise attack. Han Ying saw through their scheme and, along with Liu Chuang, led the members in a counter-sniper strategy. While protecting the villagers, she unfortunately fell into the hands of the enemy. Peng Batian captured Han Ying's mother (played by Liu Shuqin) in an attempt to soften Han Ying's resolve through the mother-daughter bond. However, Han Ying expressed her noble sentiment that she would never surrender, even if it meant sacrificing her life. Meanwhile, Liu Chuang, in the perilous situation of losing contact with his leaders, started to get a bit anxious and launched frequent assaults. At this moment, the enemy dispatched spy Wang Jinbiao (played by Peng Hongjun) as an insider, attempting to ambush the Red Guards while also wanting to execute Han Ying. Upon hearing the news, Zhang risked his life to rescue Han Ying, tragically losing his life in the process. After returning to the team safely, Han Ying immediately executed the traitors and cooperated with the main force of the Red Army to decisively eliminate both the White Society and the security brigade. Finally, during the Second Domestic Revolutionary War, the Honghu Red Guards achieved significant victories in protecting the revolutionary base of the Red regime in the Xiang-E and Wu regions.
