Charlotte Meyers, a Chicago-based writer and gender relations expert, has just published a new book about how she and her fiancé Doug Fox rediscover love after solving each other’s problems, and the book has also become a springboard for a hotly debated online talk show.On the day the book was released, Doug announced that he was going to end the relationship, which hit her brand hard.As a result of this setback, her publisher Jane will no longer publish any books on gender relations, and Charlotte needs to reshape himself.So she came up with the idea of the next book that Jane loved very much: a guide to survival in the wild for city girls.She plans to do three weeks of field training and then a weeklong canoeing tour to apply these skills.The idea came after a conflict with field guide Rob Wilson, who agreed to be her full-time coach for the only reason was the need to get cash quickly.Rob co-owned and runs a wilderness business in northern Minnesota with his friends Mike Abbott and Tina Abbott.He hated people like Charlotte—privileged urbanites who had no interest in experiencing nature other than taking selfies outdoors—even though they were the business’s main source of income.After overcoming the initial hostility, Charlotte and Rob were so surprised by each other's nature that they would start to fall in love with each other as long as they were willing to open up.Their original happy endings and Charlotte’s new friendship with the Abbott couple are threatened by Charlotte’s professional obligations, who needs to be responsible for how Jane and TV promote her new brand.
