Wu Long (played by Tao Zeru) escapes from hardship and comes to the city, relying on his brute strength to become a worker at the Da Hong Rice Shop. His astonishing appetite causes trouble with the shop's manager, Boss Feng, and his daughter Qi Yun (played by Yang Kun). However, the younger daughter, Zhi Yun (played by Shi Lan), who has been a mistress of Liu Ye since childhood, always sees Wu Long smiling, while during the day he is bullied by people. Only at night, lying in the rice warehouse and chewing raw rice, does Wu Long feel at ease. By chance, Wu Long discovers Zhi Yun and Liu Ye's underling, A Bao, fooling around together. To take revenge on A Bao for the bullying he has endured, Wu Long secretly informs Liu Ye, leading to A Bao being stabbed. The thrill of revenge keeps Wu Long awake all night, and Zhi Yun's alluring advances completely mesmerize him. From then on, Wu Long begins a crazy spree of revenge against each and every city dweller who has bullied him.
