Affiliated with a certain mysterious agency of the U.S. military, a research on invisibility technology is underway. Scientist Sebastian Cain (played by Kevin Bacon) is the primary leader of this team, and after years of effort, their research has begun to show results in animals. Eager for quick success, Sebastian disregards the instability of the drug and insists on trying it on himself. The drug's invisibility effect is excellent, but Sebastian cannot return to normal. As a result, his partners Linda Foster (played by Elisabeth Shue) and Matt Kensington (played by Josh Brolin) rush to develop the antidote, while Sebastian increasingly enjoys the feeling of invisibility, as his transparent state allows him to do whatever he wants. To maintain his current state, he becomes increasingly deranged...This film won the Best Visual Effects Award at the 2001 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films and the Audience Award at the 2000 Locarno International Film Festival.
