In Afghanistan under the cruel rule of the Taliban, ordinary people, especially women, live a life of hell like a life of dire straits.The stubborn little girl Pavana (voiced by Saara Chaudry) goes out with her father (voiced by Ali Rizvi Badshah) to earn money to support her family. She not only witnesses her father being insulted and humiliated by former students, but also witnesses her father being illegally arrested with her family.There are sick mothers, adult sisters and hungry younger brothers at home. The young Pavana can only cut off her hair, disguised as a boy and walked out of the house, embarking on the road to supporting her family with uncertain life and death.In the process, she meets her former companion who also dresses as a boy and becomes friends with a silent and burly Taliban.When the shadow of war approaches again, Pavana tries every means to find her uncle's father and take him home... This film is adapted from Deborah Iris' novel of the same name.
