This is yet another remarkable work adapted by Hong Kong's TVB from a classic. The plot not only draws from the classic masterpiece "Journey to the West," but also incorporates a large number of comedic elements, creating a work that not only restores the original but also presents a unique flavor distinct from the original. A giant rock in the Flower and Fruit Mountain of the Eastern Victory Divine State bursts forth with a stone monkey (played by Zhang Weijian), who learns miraculous abilities and wreaks havoc in Heaven, ultimately being suppressed under the Five Finger Mountain by Buddha. Five hundred years later, Guanyin Bodhisattva enlightens Wukong, who then becomes a disciple of Tang Seng (played by Jiang Hua), embarking on the journey of seeking scriptures to atone for his sins...
