This film mainly tells the story of Lin Xiongmao, an ordinary little person, and how he juggles being a waiter in Beijing, learns to communicate with colleagues, and survives in the capital. ‘Hello everyone, my name is Lin Xiongmao, you can also call me Lin Xiongmao!’ On his first day coming to the capital to see Tiananmen, he was unexpectedly taken by a rogue taxi to the Ming Tombs, which was quite something. No wonder the minibus drivers are so appreciative of our ‘Xiongmao’. I wonder what Lin Xiongmao's job-seeking life in Beijing will be like, perhaps like the song 'Tired' performed by the red army ensemble in the drama (derived from the album 'China Fire I'), which goes: ‘I want to be strong, and also stubborn, but I have no courage, my will has turned to ash. Today you and I still can’t do anything.’ At the age of nineteen, Xiongmao is part of the ‘Beijing drifter’ group with a degree from college, good at adult comics, and while job hunting in the capital, he insists on sitting in the back seat and has to buy two tickets based on his weight and height. Honestly, 19-year-old Lin Xiongmao can only eat; he doesn't even know how to P (his supposed special skill is making faces). The next day, after leaving the Ming Tombs, he took another rogue taxi to a small animation production company for an interview. However, since what he drew was too inappropriate for children (not beneficial for young people's growth = =~!), he had no choice but to stand outside as a security guard under the boss’s rage. In the workplace, Lin Xiongmao faces hurdles everywhere. With a simple personality, his mind seems to be lacking a few connections; he reacts slowly, and aside from a face that resembles a bottom, it seems like everything he does is wrong~~~ Lin Xiongmao also has a gentle side; when he receives a call from home, he doesn’t reveal the hardships of living and says everything is fine. On his first day at work, he had to sleep at the company because he had no housing. During this time, Lin Xiongmao rummaged through the boss's drawer (and discovered a video called 'The Queen and Five Men', which made him secretly happy, but he later realized it was Saint Seiya~~~). The boss, feeling sympathetic, allowed him to stay for one night. However, after the boss locked the door and left, Xiongmao suddenly felt the urge to go to the bathroom but found no place to relieve himself... The next day, his colleague A Meng (the treacherous Ma Wei Si) discovered feces in the lunch box and urine in a soda bottle...~~~ (In a bid to take the blame, under A Meng's questioning, brave Xiongmao gulped down the liquid in the bottle = =~!). Later, while having lunch, he mistakenly left feces in the restaurant, causing the Northeast boss to chase after him with a knife! In the end, he was punished to work for free at the restaurant, while the original boss still paid him. A Meng, harboring grudges, sent a friend called 'Jiaoshou' to ambush him at midnight, beating him up and extorting over a hundred yuan from him~~~~~ Due to the lack of a temporary residence permit, he was chased by patrolling officers on the street~~~~~ On a rainy night, in an attempt to avoid the rain, he mistakenly took shelter in a 'hair salon' (he thought it was just a haircut = =~!).
