 Synopsis
Ah Mei plays the popular new singer Fang Ao Er Jannie, who leaves her manager James, who helped her rise to fame, to sign with a larger record company, which angers James. However, she does not forget her roots. James wants to promote a newcomer, Russell, to compete against her. When James's company faces problems, she comes to the rescue. In the end, the two reconcile and become a couple. Ah Mei has many singing and dancing performances in the film, opening with the song 'The Helplessness of Separation', looking proud and stylish! I don’t recall seeing Ah Mei sing this song on stage before, and although this scene wasn't a live performance, it is still precious. In the closing song 'Moving Toward a New Day', Ah Mei and Russell perform joyfully together, and Ah Mei's dance is beautiful.
