Fortunately, this giant, known as the BFG (Big Friendly Giant), lives up to his name; unlike others of his kind, he does not eat 'human beans' but instead consumes fruits and vegetables, and he even brings the good dreams he finds into the children's sleep, compensating for the brutality of his kind. Perhaps due to their shared sense of loneliness and kindness, the small Sophie and the tall BFG slowly become familiar with each other and trust one another, becoming good friends without any barriers or secrets…
