The story takes place in the distant 23rd century, where 95% of humanity has fallen into extreme poverty. In an attempt to escape their predicament, people have turned to outer space, hoping to reverse the situation through the mining of alien minerals. However, they acted too recklessly and awakened unknown creatures that had been sleeping in the mineral sources. Over the past years, 1,600 local workers have been killed by these monsters. Shortly after, the monsters quickly infected suitable hosts, and the situation spiraled out of control. In an effort to thwart the monsters' plan to invade Earth, a small team was dispatched to the alien planet to carry out a mission to intercept them. To their surprise, the team suffered an overwhelming blow, and at the critical moment, a man named Daniel MacPherson used coolant to freeze the monster, leaving no survivors except for himself. Soon after, another team was sent to investigate, and their unwitting actions led to the reawakening of the sleeping monsters...
