Member of the Hard Family—Matt (played by Tad Hilgenbrink) is about to enter his senior year of high school. He admires the achievements of his family's predecessors and is determined to shoot an exciting personal film. However, Matt's demeanor is hard to appreciate; his arrogance turns the graduation ceremony into a farce. In order to punish Matt, the school requires him to join the drill team summer camp. This reunites him with his childhood friend and drill team commander, Elise (played by Arielle Kebbel), but Elise has long since turned against Matt due to his various pranks. The summer camp is very important to Elise, who is vying for a scholarship, but Matt is solely focused on using his various covert filming devices to gather material for his risqué little film, or to challenge the star members of the camp. Gradually, the jaded Matt begins to understand the aspirations of those around him, and the rift between him and Elise starts to heal. Will this summer camp become a journey of growth for Matt?
