During the Qing Dynasty, both Shaolin and Wudang had many masters. Shaolin aspired to restore the Ming Dynasty and oppose the Qing, while the Wudang sect was willing to act as the Qing's enforcers. Consequently, the two sects found themselves in a hostile situation. A young banner man named Tong Qianjin, who had been an orphan since childhood and suffered bullying from his own kin, harbored deep resentment towards his clan and dedicated himself to martial arts at Shaolin Temple. He connected with his fellow disciples, including Hu Huiqian, to engage in anti-Qing activities. In response, Wudang's masters sent their disciples down the mountain in batches to confront Shaolin disciples, leading to a series of battles with Tong.
