 Synopsis
This film is based on a novel of the same name, telling the story of Kiyoshi Teruki, a suspect in the murder case of a couple who were killed, and who was sentenced to death. He escaped during transport. The news of Teruki's jailbreak was widely reported in the media, and although the police made every effort to track him down, they were still unable to capture him. On the other hand, the husband of the victimized couple, Yuki Inoue, suffers from dementia due to the trauma of the incident and is still receiving care in a nursing facility. While fleeing, Teruki changes his name and appearance and meets many people, including the staff at a construction site, such as Nonomura Kazuya, rescuing them from their predicaments. When Nonomura and the others realize that Teruki is a wanted death row inmate, they begin to question, 'Is he really a murderer?'
