 Synopsis
"The Defector" stars Chan Chan-pong, Ron Ng, Monty Ho, and Linda Chung. As an international metropolis, Hong Kong is always at risk of terrorist attacks. To prevent potential terrorist activities within the territory, the Counter-Terrorism Special Task Force was established in 2009. All members are recruited internally from the police force, making them the elite of the elite, possessing both the fresh appeal of a high-tech heavy infantry unit and the masculine spirit of a disciplined force. Several elites from various departments such as SDU, PTU, ASU, G4, and the Major Crimes Unit have undergone a rigorous selection process to join the task force. They receive intensive training in areas including shooting, physical fitness, explosives handling, and firearms, becoming a world-class heavy elite unit: the Counter-Terrorism Special Task Force. The journey of the members from training to mission execution involves facing various cases and crisis resolutions, transitioning from misunderstandings to understanding, building trust and friendship among comrades, and weaving a series of poignant stories of camaraderie where members risk their lives for each other.
