However, the arrival of the new inmate Mai Jiantian (played by栢天男), who is wrongfully imprisoned, changes the calm prison life. Jiantian is first coerced by Scar to abandon his appeal and then bullied after being exposed for having a deep-seated grudge against Roller. In order to save his life, Jiantian must accept the advice of his cellmate Hao Zheng (played by张继聪) and devise a meticulous escape plan. To avoid the close scrutiny of Warden Deng (played by黄德斌), Hao Zheng sets a trap to persuade Roller to assist, but is thwarted by Scar and is forced to join.
