Shortly after, Kouichi joins Class 3-3, where his classmates are warm and friendly, but there seems to be a hidden secret behind their kind appearances. He also discovers that the girl from the hospital, Mei Misaki (played by Ai Hashimoto), is in the same class, yet all the classmates seem to ignore her. Before long, he learns from his classmates about an incident that happened 26 years ago, which has long affected the students of Class 3-3, and now the curse has returned... This film is adapted from the eponymous novel by the mystery writer Yukito Ayatsuji.
