The genius teenager Richard (played by Miles Teller) is recognized by Franklin Stone, who is researching quantum gates, due to his invention of the object teleportation device. However, they become infected by a mysterious energy. Afterward, they gain abilities such as body stretching, fire control, rock transformation, and invisibility. In order to revert back to their former selves, the young people once again approach the quantum gate, while on the other side, a companion that was initially left behind is waiting for them...
