 Synopsis
The story takes place in the early period after the liberation of China. After hard struggles, the new China was finally established. However, in the remote mountain areas of our country's borders, there were still remnants of the Kuomintang and deeply rooted bandit gangs holding territory, committing crimes, and attempting to subvert our party's regime. Gehei Village, a gathering place of the Manli ethnic group in the southwest border region, was a typical example of severe bandit problems. In order to understand and eliminate the banditry, a certain reconnaissance company of the People's Liberation Army dispatched a reconnaissance platoon.
