He also discovers that the girl from the hospital, Mei Misaki (played by Ai Hashimoto), is in the same class, yet all the classmates seem to ignore her existence. He learns from his classmates about an incident that occurred 26 years ago, which has long affected the students of class 3-3, and now the curse has been reignited... This film is adapted from the eponymous novel by the mystery novelist Yukito Ayatsuji.
