When Ho Jun learns that there is a new witness accusing him, leading to the possibility of a life sentence, he offers a huge bribe to the previously escaped Gung Tong, Kin Tin, Scar, and Ho Ching to help him escape, promising that he will arrange for them all to flee together to Thailand. However, due to their changed mindset, the others refuse to be swayed by money and for the sake of their families and loyalties, they staunchly reject Ho Jun's monetary offer. In desperation, Ho Jun resorts to threatening each of their weaknesses, using coercive means to force them to agree, and ultimately, they comply reluctantly.
