Intro： Stand-in 2012In the spring of 1998, Kouichi Sakakibara (played by Kenta Yamazaki), a boy whose mother passed away, transfers to his mother's hometown, Yomiyama, due to his father's overseas work. Shortly after, Kouichi joins Class 3-3, where his classmates are warm and friendly, but there seems to be a hidden secret behind their kind appearances. He also discovers that the girl from the hospital, Mei Misaki (played by Ai Hashimoto), is in the same class, yet all the classmates seem to ignore her. Before long, he learns from his classmates about an incident that happened 26 years ago, which has long affected the students of Class 3-3, and now the curse has returned... This film is adapted from the eponymous novel by the mystery writer Yukito Ayatsuji.
