His works are often set against the backdrop of weathered plaster walls featuring nude or semi-nude figures, frequently incorporating recurrent elements such as the Charles Bridge in Prague or overcast skies; however, the portrayals of voluptuous women and emaciated girls in his work carry an element of eroticism.
