Intro: QuartetIn the hurried and restless city, four men and women related to music seem to have encountered each other by chance. They are the first violinist Makiko (played by Takuya Matsumoto), cellist Suzume (played by Mitsuki Matsushima), violist Yutaka (played by Masaki Takahashi), and second violinist Tsukasa (played by Ryūhei Matsuda). As if brought together by their shared passion for music, they form a quartet called "Doughnut Hole" and temporarily settle in Tsukasa's villa in Karuizawa, living a life cut off from the world. However, they cannot escape their worldly existence, as each individual seems to be entangled in their own secrets, apart from the basic need to eat. The reason for the encounter between Suzume and Makiko is precisely due to Makiko's husband's abrupt disappearance. As the snowflakes fall and the cold wind howls, the melodious tunes of the quartet wash over and heal each of their hearts...
