Intro： Pet cemeteryDoctor Louis (played by Dale Midkiff) relocates from Chicago to a small town with his wife Rachel (played by Denise Crosby), daughter Ellie, and son Gage due to work. Their new home is near a road, with a winding path behind the house. Neighbor Judd (played by Fred Gwynne) introduces Louis to the path that leads to a pet cemetery, where animals that have died over the years on the road are buried. On his first day at work, Louis encounters a patient who dies from severe injuries. He seems to hear the deceased speaking to him, claiming that to thank Louis for his help, he will prevent him from approaching ghosts. Soon, the family's cat is killed by a car, and Judd leads Louis to bury the cat in a nearby Indian burial ground, after which the cat miraculously comes back to life. Louis breathes a sigh of relief, worried about his daughter's sadness, but the resurrected cat becomes extremely aggressive and foul-smelling. Days later, tragically, his young son is killed by a car, and heartbroken Louis wishes to bury his son's body in the Indian burial ground...
