He Yansheng (played by Chen Baoguo) and Ye Dingsan (played by Zhao Jun) are two famous porcelain-making experts from Fenglingzhai, and it is said that professionals look down upon each other and refuse to concede, which troubles their love-stricken children, He Qing (played by Yin Xiaotian) and Ye Feixia (played by Li Xiaoran). The legendary Dragon and Phoenix plate brings the two families into a whirlwind of life and death disputes. Amidst the chaos of warlord battles and the invasion of Japanese aggressors, He Qing and his brother He Chen tread different paths in life under the tides of the era, while Ye Feixia, as a woman, also forges a history of female empowerment amidst the currents.
