At the age of 11, Allen (Grant Gustin)'s mother died mysteriously, and his father was regarded as the murderer.Afterwards, Detective Joe (played by Jesse L. Martin) takes in the lonely Allen. Under the influence of Joe, Allen became a CSI forensic analyst. In the process, he never gave up on the investigation of the real cause of his mother's death.Allen is very obsessed with the particle accelerator studied by scientist Harrison (Tom Cavanagh). However, an accident caused the accelerator to explode and Allen was hit and fell into a coma.Nine months later, Alan, who finally woke up, was surprised to find that there was a magical change in his body, and thus gained special abilities.As time went by, Allen began to understand that there were many people in this world who had super powers like him, and protecting the safety of citizens became his new responsibility and task.
