When the founder of the Triple X project, Gibson (played by Samuel L. Jackson), is murdered, NSA agent August Walker (played by Toni Collette) decides to bring back Sandor Cage (played by Vin Diesel), who has been living under the radar since faking his own death and was continuously monitored by the government. To avenge Gibson's death, Cage agrees to return and recruits a new Triple X team, which includes sniper Adele Wolff (played by Ruby Rose), stunt driver Tennyson (played by Rory McCann), nightclub DJ Nicks (played by Kris Wu), and computer analyst Becky (played by Nina Dobrev). The corrupt agents targeted by Cage's team include the leader Xiang (played by Donnie Yen), deadly assassin Selina (played by Deepika Padukone), martial arts expert Talon (played by Tony Jaa), and weapons specialist Hawk (played by Michael Bisping). But when the two teams meet, they suddenly discover that things are not as they seem and that their objectives might align. At this moment, the two Triple X teams must cooperate to stop an unknown enemy.
