Sunny, a chubby kid who worships Tesla (played by Jeremy Ray Taylor), and Sam, who is a bit dim-witted (played by Caleel Harris), are good friends often bullied by the bad kids at school. One day, the two are hired by a family to clean their house, and they accidentally discover a strange doll named Slappy in the attic. Unbeknownst to them, Slappy helps them get rid of the bad kids, and later joins them and Sunny's sister, Sarah (played by Madison Iseman), in causing chaos at school. Although they benefit from this quirky doll, the three start to realize the danger and evil hidden behind Slappy's sinister smile. Rejected, Slappy goes on a rampage, deciding to make Halloween a complete upheaval... This film is adapted from R.L. Stine's children's literature series 'Goosebumps'.
