After suffering the blow of a breakup, Mini Mo (played by Sammi Cheng) loses control of her diet and her weight rises to 260 pounds, losing her once slender figure. She made a promise with her first love, Hekawa, to meet in Japan ten years later, but feeling self-conscious about her changed appearance, she becomes deeply insecure. By chance, she meets a very overweight man known as Fat Guy (played by Andy Lau), who feels sympathy for her and decides to help her regain her figure. Fat Guy uses a hellish method of exercise to train Mini, and in order to help her succeed in losing weight, he finds additional money by boxing on the streets to afford to send her to a professional beauty clinic. This deeply moves Mini. Before her scheduled meeting, Mini regains her former appearance, and Hekawa proposes to her. However, she cannot forget the sacrifices made by Fat Guy and hopes for the day they can reunite.
