Ann (played by Juliette Binoche) is a well-known journalist. To others, she appears to be a successful woman, with impressive work skills while being surrounded by her husband and children. From their narratives, Ann discovers a cruel world that she had never encountered before, where sex is devoid of love, merely a transaction.
