Synopsis

Dr. Liu Wen (played by Tony Leung) appears to be a cynical person on the surface, but he is actually very meticulous and insightful about the world. He despises the unjust medical system and decides to run a clinic in the red-light district. Passionate about medicine, he is highly skilled and practices medical ethics for the benefit of the impoverished. Among his patients are brave police officers (played by Louis Koo), sex workers, and others. He not only heals his patients' physical ailments but also enjoys listening to the voices of these grassroots individuals, becoming their friend. However, he is framed by a former friend and faces the crisis of having his medical license revoked.
