Synopsis

On a night with dark clouds and strong winds, Qi Jinrong (played by Leslie Cheung) is driving alone on the road while a ghost story is playing on the radio. Suddenly, the car veers off the track, and Qi stops to check. When he gets back into the car, he is surprised to find a pure-looking woman in a white dress (played by Cherie Chung) in the back seat! After getting out of the car, the woman in white suddenly leans in to give a passionate kiss to the startled Qi. Once he takes her to a dance hall, she disappears without a trace. After this encounter, Qi seems to have lost his soul, with only the shadow of the beautiful woman in his mind, and he returns to the old spot the next day to search for her. To his dismay, what he finds is a grave.Although his friends say that Qi encountered a ghost in broad daylight, he cannot forget the woman in white. He waits on the street for several days until he finally catches a glimpse of her again, only to learn that she is the lover of the billionaire Cao San (played by Wong Kam Sing). Qi decides that regardless of whether she is human or ghost, he will pursue the woman relentlessly...
