Island police officer Shi Chun (played by Yuan Kui) suspects the villagers of making drugs for profit, leading his two assistants, Chen Longshi (played by Du Dewei) and Xiao Gangpao, to investigate for a long time but find nothing. On this day, a theater troupe comes to the island to perform, and Shi Chun, suspecting a collusion between the troupe and the villagers in drug trafficking, steps in to investigate, unwittingly causing Jiujie (played by Ng Man Tat) from the troupe to fall in love with him at first sight.
