 Synopsis
According to the Bible’s “Exodus” record, the Ten Commandments are the ten precepts of God to mankind. And what Kiss tells about ten modern versions of the rebellious warns. The ten short films are all stories that happen to ordinary people in their ordinary lives, but they raise many questions about the human spiritual world such as moral human nature, religious ethics, and scientific rationality. The little Babo who was buried at the bottom of the lake in the first commandment was all because his father was blindly superstitious about electronic technology; the woman in the second command made a choice in a dilemma; the third command was about the dilemma of marriage; the fourth command talked about issues related to family ethics... The tenth command ended with suspicion between two brothers.Kits nakedly dissects this ancient Ten Commandments to us, and the eternal human nature problem has once again suffered various challenges and doubts about spiritual precepts in modern society.Director Krishtov Kieslowski won many awards including Children and Cinema Award in the 1989 Venice Film Festival.
