"Colored Glasses" is adapted from a true story that caused a sensation across the United States.This film tells the story of a notorious unjust case: five teenagers known as the "Central Park Five Gang" were wrongly convicted of rape.The four-episode limited series will focus on five teenagers in Harlem, namely Antroni McCree, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Cory Wise.The story begins in the spring of 1989, when the teenagers were first questioned about the rape incident.The entire story will span 25 years, with the climax of their final acquittal in 2002 and a settlement with the City in 2014."Colored Glasses" was created by Ava Djoere, who is also the co-writer and director of this four-episode drama.Participant Media’s Jeff Schole and Jonathan King, Harpo Films’ Oprah Winfrey, Tribeca Productions’ Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh and Robert De Niro will join Djoere as producers of the limited series under her Forward Movement.In addition to Djole, Attica Locke, Robin Swecoder and Mike Stabrey also served as screenwriters of the limited series.The series stars Michael K.
