After a struggle with Freddy (played by Robert Englund), Kristen (played by Tuesday Knight) soon finds the terrifying figure visiting her dreams again. Kristen confides in her friends from the hospital, Kincaid and Joey, about Freddy's return; however, the two boys believe that Freddy is dead and that they are only waiting for a peaceful adolescence. Freddy quickly resurfaces, killing Kincaid and Joey in their dreams. Kristen loses her friends who fought alongside her and is nearly driven to despair. Fortunately, her friend Alice (played by Lisa Wilcox), who believes that dreams are a way to escape the oppression of reality, appears. When Freddy attacks Kristen in her dream, she calls out to Alice for help, pulling her into her dream and thus dragging her into Freddy's madness. Kristen is ultimately killed, and Alice decides to seek revenge for her friend...
