The collapse of the bubble economy caused Bandai’s director, Shunichiro Watanabe (played by Koichi Satō), who was originally running the disco business smoothly, to incur huge debts to the gang known as the Ôyokumi. Soon, Watanabe teamed up with the bullied small employee Hagiwara (played by Naoto Takenaka) and the handsome male prostitute Mitsuya (played by Masahiro Motoki), and the three quickly hit it off, planning to seize the large funds of the Ôyokumi. Not long after, the gang’s low-level member Jimmy (played by Kippei Shiina) and former police officer Hizamatsu (played by Janpachi Nezu) also joined in, officially forming a group of five.
