The story takes place in a radio station, where Alan (played by Steve Coogan) is the host of a talk show. He once had a glorious past, but an accident brought his career and reputation to the bottom. Now, he can only host his little-known radio program in an obscure place where not many people pay attention to him. One day, the radio station is taken over by a multinational chain, and a radio announcer named Pat (played by Peter Baynham) loses his job because of it. Just when everyone thought the storm caused by this incident had settled, Pat, who had earlier left, returned armed and took over the office.
