 Synopsis
During the late Ming period, the Central Plains and the border of the Jin Kingdom were engulfed in flames of war, with the demonic sect led by Ji Wushuang (played by Wu Zhenyu) wreaking havoc. The court and the martial world united to fight against the enemy. The first disciple of the Wudang sect, Zhuo Yihang (played by Leslie Cheung), was rebellious since childhood but had exceptional talent, earning the favor of his master, Ziyang Laozu. Zhuo Yihang encountered numerous adventures in his youth, meeting the then martial official, Wu Sangui (played by Gao Xiong), and the mysterious wolf girl (played by Lin Qingxia). As an adult, Zhuo Yihang is a man of integrity, yet unable to change his libertine nature, unwilling to be bound by traditional morals. He acts righteously but is often criticized. The senior sister (played by Lan Jieying) has feelings for him, yet Zhuo Yihang remains unmoved. He encounters the wolf girl again and develops feelings for her, and she reciprocates. However, with the opposition of good and evil, the lovers face numerous difficulties and ultimately meet a tragic end...
