This film focuses on Danny Torrance, the son from "The Shining," who has wandered for decades after experiencing a traumatic childhood in the Overlook Hotel. He finds a job at a nursing home, where his remaining "shining" abilities provide critical comfort to dying patients. With the help of a cat with psychic abilities, he becomes the "Doctor Sleep." In 2001, a baby girl named Abra Stone is born, and she gradually begins to exhibit supernatural powers, seemingly predicting the 9/11 events.
