The toy designer Luo Youdi, nicknamed 'Little Man', encounters a wealthy girl named Ah Zhen who loves to lie. She claims to be a troubled girl being threatened by the mob. Driven by a sense of justice, Luo decides to help her free herself from difficulties and start anew. Youdi often suffers bullying from his colleague's ex-girlfriend Ali and the boss's wife A Zhen. Ah Zhen encourages him to quit his job, and after he does, they both work as cashiers in a fast-food restaurant. Zhen's father is pleased to see that Youdi can make his headstrong daughter work hard and become independent. Knowing that Youdi is a toy designer, he acquires a toy company and puts Youdi in charge. Zhen's henchman, Mike, is jealous of Youdi and mocks him for relying on a rich girl to succeed, saying he won't survive without her. As a result, Youdi stops seeing Ah Zhen. Despite her desperate attempts to mend their relationship, she angrily decides to cut off ties. Later, Youdi realizes he fell into a trap and pretended to be in distress to win back Ah Zhen, and they reconcile.
