Having trained martial arts since childhood, Fan Ke (played by Kwan Tak-hing) sets off for Thailand to fulfill his father's last wish of finding his half-brother with a plum blossom tattoo on his arm and their mother. After a misunderstanding leads to a mix-up in recognizing relatives, he meets a young boxer, Wen Lie (played by Ti Lung), and they quickly become friends due to their shared interests. To save his seriously ill mother, Wen Lie agrees to fight against the champion Heavy Cannon but refuses to collaborate with the pushers who have ties to organized crime. At the match, Fan Ke recognizes Wen Lie's tattoo and realizes he is his brother, but it is too late to stop the fight. Fortunately, Wen Lie wins, but this victory comes with trouble, and little do they know, a bigger threat is looming ahead.
