In February 1945, on the eve of the strategic counteroffensive in the Far East battlefield, the task force received a new mission: to infiltrate enemy-occupied areas and eliminate the Japanese military strategy team. The Japanese military strategy team was a group of staunch pro-Japanese traitors directly under the Kwantung Army's intelligence department, composed of remnants of bandits, rough soldiers, and local landlord thugs. They were familiar with the terrain, cruel and ruthless, and were all motivated by money over their own lives. Particularly, the leader of the enemy strategy team, Uripu, was born into a family of bandits, treacherous and cunning, and posed a significant threat to the task force's reconnaissance operations, hence the higher-ups ordered their complete eradication. Just after arriving in the enemy-occupied area, they were immediately met with a show of strength by the strategy team, making Zhang Feihu and his team realize that the Japanese military strategy team was not to be trifled with. To quickly ascertain the precise location and activities of the strategy team, An Zhemin disguised as a Japanese officer and, using the cover of night, learned from the innkeeper that Uripu’s strategy team had followed the task force to a nearby abandoned brick kiln factory. Upon acquiring this intelligence, Zhang Feihu decided to launch a surprise attack on the brick kiln factory. Unexpectedly, the cunning Uripu had already anticipated this; not only did the task force not succeed in the attack, but they were caught off guard by Uripu, who had long been lurking there, resulting in team member Du Gang being captured after being shot in the leg during the skirmish. Just as Zhang Feihu was distressed over several failures, informant Huqi discovered a surprisingly effective method. It turned out that the commander of the puppet army's vigilante company, Qiu Ke, and Uripu had always been at odds. To exacerbate the conflict between Qiu Ke and Uripu, the task force disguised themselves as strategy team members and stole the vigilante company's opium, cutting off Qiu Ke's source of income. To take revenge on Uripu, Qiu Ke accepted Huqi's suggestion. As a result, the strategy team was lured into an ambush that the task force had arranged beforehand. After Du Gang was rescued, the task force members worked in tandem and ultimately annihilated the Japanese military strategy team.
