In a contemporary summer, in a certain city. The nightclub is filled with dazzling lights and an uproar of voices, with all the men and women on and off the stage dancing wildly. Suddenly, Hong (played by Yao Jing), who is dancing on the performance platform, falls heavily and is rushed to the hospital for treatment. The doctor diagnoses her with temporary blindness. Her close friend Feng Ping (played by Ma Huiru) knows that Hong has no place to stay in the city, so she arranges for her to recuperate at her uncle's house on the outskirts. One day, Feng Ping and her boyfriend Jin Xin (played by Wang Shiqiao) are chatting at the cinema, and their conversation is overheard by a fugitive (played by Wang Zhigang) sitting behind them. The fugitive follows them to the uncle's house and takes Hong and both of them hostage. Hong tries to call the police but fails. Just then, Jin Xin, who had been drinking, goes to find Feng Ping. The fugitive lies and claims to be Hong’s cousin, wanting to send Jin Xin away under the pretense that Hong has already fallen asleep. In the ensuing struggle, the community security is alerted, allowing Jin Xin to enter the house. During the conversation with the fugitive, Jin Xin notices something off. When the fugitive goes to the kitchen, he quickly goes upstairs to rescue the bound Hong...
